In this two hour workshop we’ll cover the basics of Service Design. We’ll explore the building blocks of a service and how they fit together to enable experiences from the perspective of the customers, the staff and the business.
We’ll talk about designing individual touch-points in cross disciplinary teams and how services and products co-exist. We’ll look at some of the key methods and tools that Service Designers use and discuss what skills make a good Service Designer.
The workshop will include best practice examples, practical tips and career advice.
Amit Patel is a freelance Product Manager/Designer working with a number of clients here (most recently Crossrail 2) in London. He’s the instructor of our 10 week Product Design course while growing Experience Haus. He was formerly the lead instructor on General Assembly’s full-time immersive and part-time UX courses in London.
Joseph Morgan is a highly-experienced Head of Planning with over 18 years in industry. Working in everything from brand, advertising, content and CRM to media, social, design and digital. Joseph’s most recent accolade was a Gold DMA for his work with Microsoft, but he has also won high praise for his contributions to marketing perspective and theory. Having been awarded the coveted WPP Essay Prize for Strategy and published in The Drum, Campaign, Marketing Magazine and The Journal of Brand Management.

Although there are no pre-requisites to take the course, having a keen interest in design definitely helps. There is no need to have any knowledge of particular software.
