Agenda for the day:
Introduction to Digital Wireframing – What is digital wireframing and where does it sit within the design process. Answering questions like who should be involved, how much time should be reasonably allocated, ways of working, sharing and playback of designs.
Overview of popular industry tools – when might you use each and how different companies/agencies/startups work with them
Differences between low and high fidelity – showcase of different levels of fidelity of wireframe designs from past and live projects.
Designing for various devices – mobile apps, responsive design, web applications
Introduction to Figma – cloud-based digital wireframing and prototyping tool – we will build a few screens together and put together a prototype using this highly collaborative design tool
Design fundamentals – what is important to consider for the user experience, design systems, grid layouts, iOS and Android guidelines
Amit Patel is a Product Manager/Designer working with a number of clients here (most recently Crossrail 2) in London. He’s the instructor of the Experience Haus 10 week part-time Product Design course while building and growing Experience Haus. He was formerly the lead instructor on General Assembly’s full-time immersive and part-time UX courses in London.
He recently spent a year working as the Product Manager at Adio.fm, a startup, cloud-based platform designed to re-invigorate the way we curate and view audio and video via mobile and the web. Previously he spent five years working on the Crossrail project (Europe’s biggest construction project) working on business process/analysis, and project management.

The workshop is perfect for anyone who is looking to add prototyping and wireframing skills to their existing skillset.
Previous students include graphic designers, front-end developers, UX and UI designers and those with no design experience but a curiosity to learn!.
Although there are no pre-requisites to take the workshop, having a keen interest in design and creativity definitely helps. There is no need to have any knowledge of particular software as you will be taught everything along the way.
