Tell us a little about yourself and your current work outside of Experience Haus?
I’m a Technology Ethicist who specialises in democratic information environments. I run Hattusia, a tech ethics consultancy, and the Echo Chamber Club, which is a philosophical research institute dedicated to understanding how information environments can be healthy and democratic in a digital age. This work is so important – and I feel the privilege and responsibility of being in a profession which is so necessary and yet so new.
Did you have a specific goal you wanted to achieve before you started teaching at Experience Haus? Do you think your time here so far has kept you on the right track?
My goal is to give as many people the resources to approach ethical problems in the workplace. Teaching public workshops at Experience Haus is a great way to achieve this goal.
What is your teaching philosophy?
I try to make complicated subjects, such as ethics, as easy to understand as possible. In these courses, it’s as much as teaching what you don’t know, so you can go and explore outside of the workshops.
