From Idea to Market: How to Build with AI

At the latest Curiosity event hosted at Experience Haus’s Shoreditch studio, recent UX/UI Career Development Bootcamp graduate Mohan Veraitch took the stage to share his fast-evolving journey into the world of AI-powered workflows, agentic software, and digital product creation. His talk, both practical and deeply personal, offered a unique look at how AI is reshaping design and development processes—and how it’s helping him move from “I have an idea” to “It’s live.”

AI as a Creative Co-Pilot

Mohan began by touching on something that resonated with many in the room: the chaotic beauty of too many ideas. Like many creative professionals, he often found himself wondering whether his ideas were good, viable, or worth building. Enter AI—specifically large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT—which he now uses as a sounding board, an idea filter, and a thought partner.

Rather than waiting for external validation or feedback, he’s turned AI into a trusted collaborator. “Instead of boring my friends and family,” he joked, “I talk to AI.” This shift has allowed him to quickly explore possibilities and keep his creative energy flowing.

Workflows Before Agents

While Mohan initially set out to build AI agents, he soon became immersed in the mechanics of workflows—how to move efficiently from idea to prototype to finished product. He sees AI as an essential accelerant across every phase of the process: from niche research to copywriting, wireframing, testing, and beyond.

One of his core motivators? Solving his own problems.

Whether it’s creating consistent content for social media or producing quick-turnaround news videos (something he’s passionate about but finds time-consuming), Mohan sees AI as the key to automating repetitive or draining tasks so he can focus on creative execution.

Rethinking the Double Diamond

Drawing from his training at Experience Haus, Mohan reflected on the well-known Double Diamond framework—but with a twist. While the classic model ends at “Deliver,” he challenged the audience to consider what comes next: Build and Market.

With AI tools enabling faster development and designers increasingly taking on low-code/no-code responsibilities, the lines between design and development are blurring. He pointed out that we’re entering an era where a solo designer can not only ideate and prototype—but also launch and market a working product or service.

Falling in Love with Webflow, Framer, and Marketplaces

Mohan’s curiosity eventually led him to explore Webflow and Framer, two visual development platforms gaining popularity in the design world. What started as quick experimentation turned into a deep dive into the template marketplaces, where he realized two exciting opportunities:

  1. Passive income – by creating and selling templates.

  2. Skill development – by learning how to build production-quality websites with structure, reusability, and optimization in mind.

Using tools like YouTube, Google, and ChatGPT, he taught himself the basics and began prototyping real templates—first for pharmacies, then for task managers—while analyzing how successful templates were designed and structured.

The Workflow: A Six-Phase System

With the help of AI, Mohan co-developed a six-phase workflow to take templates from concept to marketplace:

  1. Research & Ideation – Niche discovery, audience analysis, moodboarding.

  2. Planning & Wireframing – Purpose definition, value propositions, and wireframes generated via Relume with prompts crafted by ChatGPT.

  3. High-Fidelity Design – Building scalable design systems in Figma, finalizing UI, and preparing for export.

  4. Build – Implementing designs in Webflow using Figma imports, refining layout structure, setting up CMS collections, and building responsive interactions.

  5. Testing & Optimization – Cross-browser testing, image compression, and performance tuning.

  6. Push to Market – Creating marketing assets, SEO copy, previews, and publishing to Webflow/Framer marketplaces.

He emphasized that while AI accelerates each phase, human input—especially in structure, hierarchy, and design sensibility—is still critical.

Unexpected AI Insights

A standout moment in his talk came when AI gave him not just answers but new directions. When discussing how to scale template creation, ChatGPT unexpectedly asked:

“Would you like help automating template creation with AI to scale faster?”

This sparked a new line of thinking—one where AI could potentially handle more of the heavy lifting, from code generation (HTML, Tailwind CSS) to live implementation in platforms like Next.js. Mohan didn’t pursue that idea immediately, but he noted how AI often fills in the blanks—bringing forward insights he hadn’t yet considered.

Final Thoughts: The Real Power of AI

In closing, Mohan returned to a central theme: AI isn’t just a productivity booster. It’s a learning partner—one that helps you grow faster, build confidence, and push through blocks that would have taken weeks to resolve solo.

From debugging in minutes (instead of weeks), to seeing the CMS capabilities of Webflow as a bridge to future AI agent ideas, Mohan reminded the room that technology is not replacing creativity—it’s enhancing it.

As he continues to experiment and evolve his workflow, one thing is clear: the intersection of AI and design isn’t just a trend—it’s a toolkit. And in Mohan’s hands, that toolkit is getting sharper by the day.

Stay tuned for the next Curiosity session as we continue exploring how technology and design intersect, empower, and inspire.
