What will you learn?

We’ll discuss the design process, and the methods and tools that make up the service designer toolkit, and used by service designers globally. We’ll cover the core concepts, but also demonstrate the exercises and methods that designers employ daily to push services forward and make sure they’ll succeed and stand out.

Topics and concepts you will learn about on this workshop include user and stakeholder research, workshop preparation, experience maps and storyboarding. We will also look to understand opportunity prioritisation, creating future state experiences, prototyping with various methods, and how to design service design blueprints that can outline what the service plans are.

After an immersive two full days of discussion and practical exercises, you’ll be equipped with both the tools and the mindset needed to start the design of an enjoyable, end-to-end service for your customers and organisation.

The workshop will have elements of solo work and group activities, and takes place inside our design studio in Shoreditch, London.

Frequently Asked Questions

You have questions? We have the answers.

Despite the demand for Service Designers is growing, this doesn’t mean it will be easy to immediately land a job. Like all design fields, it is extremely important to get hands on experience. This can be done either by joining a course, or even by developing your own design challenges. A good task to set yourself is tore-design a service that really frustrates you. With an increasingly competitive market, it’s important that you stand out from the crowd and maximise your chances of success. At Experience Haus you can book in a 1:1 call with one of our instructors to discuss our course in more detail, and how it might help you on your Service Design journey.

No, our UI UX courses are open to anyone. Whilst some of our students have studied or worked in design-related fields, many have very little experience (if any). We’ve had everyone from very senior industrial and digital designers with over 10 years’ experience to paramedics, lawyers, police and coffee shop baristas!

We offer two payment options for our workshops: you can pay the total cost in one go or pay a deposit to reserve your space and then pay the remainder by invoice.

Yes, during the course you will be assigned to an actual client to work on a real project and at the end you will be presenting this work to your client.

There isn’t one! To secure your space on a course all you have to do is book via our website or by contacting enrol@experiencehaus.com and telling us which course date you’d like to do. You can book in a quick call with our team to discuss your objectives, previous experience and how we might best support you during your time with us.

We primarily use Figma because it is one of the most intuitive, collaborative and inclusive prototyping and design programs available. Students can easily share their work and co-create on the same canvases through their web browser in real-time, without needing to download an application and suffer compatibility issues. Figma is also fast-becoming the industry standard and norm – although this changes quickly!

Purchases are non-refundable, except at the discretion of Experience Haus Ltd. Typically, cancellations or refund requests received 14 days prior to the start of a course or workshop will be honoured. However, due to the complex nature of the service being provided this cannot be guaranteed, and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. This policy does not include deposits, all of which are non-refundable, but we can move you to another start date if needed.

Provided you give us enough notice, we are happy for you to change course start dates once you’ve booked.

All students receive an Experience Haus course completion certificate at the end of the course. The course is recognised in regards to Experience Haus being an industry recognised brand.

Subscribe to the Experience Haus monthly newsletter. We'll keep you updated on everything we have to offer.
