Instructor Profile: Ale Iannuzzi

Tell us a little about yourself and your current work outside of Experience Haus?

I am an experienced UX/Product Design professional specialising in the end-to-end development of complex and innovative products, particularly those incorporating AI/ML technologies. Currently I am part of the design team at Tesco, bringing with me a wealth of experience from my previous roles in managing and collaborating with teams at companies like Deloitte and GfK.

Did you have a specific goal you wanted to achieve before you started teaching at Experience Haus? Do you think your time here so far has kept you on the right track?

Teaching runs in my family and I have always been driven by the satisfaction of seeing people achieve their goals and dreams. My goal in teaching is to blend practical, real life examples with solid theoretical frameworks to provide a holistic learning experience. My time at Experience Haus has been incredibly fulfilling in this regard, keeping me aligned with this mission.

What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy is straightforward and no-nonsense – focus on imparting skills that are practical and directly applicable in the real world. I believe that students are here to gain valuable insights that will equip them for real life challenges, not just theoretical knowledge.

What do you enjoy most about teaching at Experience Haus?

Interacting with the students is by far the most rewarding aspect of teaching at Experience Haus. I love learning about their life experiences, sharing knowledge and providing guidance that helps them achieve their personal and professional aspirations.

How would you describe your dream classroom?

My dream classroom is an in-person environment that enhances focus, collaboration, and human interaction over digital interfaces. The direct engagement in a physical space fosters a more immersive and effective learning experience, which is crucial in design education.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In the next five years, I see myself advancing further in the UX Research and Design field, continually enriching my skills and hopefully expanding my impact on both my students and the broader world through innovative design solutions.

How do you keep up to date with your industry and the courses you teach?

I am an avid book reader, podcast listener, and a continual learner through various training programs. These resources help me stay on the cutting edge of UX design and teaching methodologies, ensuring that I bring the most current and relevant knowledge into the classroom.
