AI Product Design for Accenture’s Service Design Team

Experience Haus worked with Accenture’s Service Design team to design, build and deliver a two-day immersive workshop on designing AI products, equipping participants with the practical tools, frameworks and confidence to design with AI rather than just talk about it.
THE TASK

Accenture’s Service Design team wanted to move beyond surface-level AI literacy toward genuine fluency in designing and building AI products. Teams were already fielding AI use cases from clients but lacked a shared framework for evaluating them, preparing the right data, and weighing the ethical and responsibility considerations that come with deploying AI in a live product or service.

The brief called for a complete learning arc, from theory to practice and from curiosity to capability, so designers could move past understanding AI to actively shaping how it gets used. Experience Haus was brought in to design and deliver a two-day immersive workshop addressing this gap, built around a real-life challenge identified ahead of the session.

ACTIONS

To meet these objectives, Experience Haus designed and delivered a two-day immersive workshop for 12 service designers, structured to move from foundational concepts through to a working prototype built around a single real-life challenge. Day one grounded participants in core AI concepts and opportunity framing before introducing the design challenge; day two moved the same teams into data design, ethical considerations and AI-assisted rapid prototyping. The format paired short conceptual inputs with structured team exercises, including:

  • Question storming, scenario planning and journey mapping to frame a real-life AI product challenge
  • A data mapping activity covering inputs, processing and outputs, with discussion of gaps, bias and consent
  • A data design document addressing human inputs, system prompts, feedback loops and ethical risk
  • Hands-on prototyping with Agentic AI tools, culminating in a functional prototype built in Lovable

By pairing each concept with an applied exercise tied to the same challenge, the workshop kept participants working on one coherent problem from framing through to a tested prototype.

THE OUTCOME

By the end of the two days, participants had taken a single AI product challenge from initial framing through to a working, testable prototype, giving the team a shared language and process for AI product design they could apply directly to client work. Key outcomes included:

  • A practical framework for evaluating and scoping AI use cases
  • Working knowledge of data design, including how to address bias, consent and quality gaps
  • Hands-on experience with Agentic AI prototyping tools and Lovable
  • Greater confidence in their role as designers evaluating and shaping AI behaviour, not just consuming it
WORKSHOP PARTICIPANT
The workshop took us from talking about AI to actually building with it. Having a working prototype by the end, grounded in our own data design thinking, changed how confident we feel bringing AI use cases into client conversations.
Length

2 Days

Key Outcomes

By blending AI literacy with hands-on data design and rapid prototyping, Experience Haus gave Accenture's Service Design team a practical framework for building AI products end-to-end. Participants moved from problem framing through data thinking to a working prototype, leaving with a repeatable approach for evaluating and shaping AI behaviour in their own client work.
