Introduction to Service Design
Services are one of the most complex things you can design for – full of interconnected components and elements that all affect each other. We are surrounded by businesses and startups that aim to offer value-based services to us, but the level of detail required to orchestrate a successful service requires a skillset and mindset like no other.
These very businesses (regardless of industry and sector) continue to see the need to differentiate their offering, clear processes, and provide outstanding experiences. As a result, the need for Service Designers is growing. These designers will play an important role in the shaping of our future economy. But like all design fields, it is extremely important to get hands-on experience if you see this as the career path for you.
In this 30 minute course introductory session, we’ll cover:
- What is Service Design?
- How to break into the industry and get your first Service Designer role
- A short explanation about our 12-week part-time Service Design course
- The roles available to you after the course
- The roles our Service Design alumni have landed
